Chicken n waffles

I watched diners drive in n dives
They had a tailgate special
So I tried the breading
I pounded the chicken breasts in a large plastic sack to flatten after removing any tendon or fat
I dipped chicken in buttermilk then a flour cornstartch mix
With salt peppar
Cayenne
Red pepper flakes
Onion powder garlic powder
Maybe needed paprika?
Then I dipped in egg wash
Then covered in panko breadding
I let sit on meat this helps it not fall off
I heated Crisco to 350 degree f.
Then cooked each Peice until dark brown flipping on each side
I let set in oven to keep warm on a pan
I used the waffle recipe on bisquick
Two c bisquick
One n half cup buttermilk
Two tbl oil
One egg
I heated waffle iron and startedcooking
Meantime I made gravy
I melted one cube butter
Mix equal flour and make a ru. Fry flour let it bubble then mix in heavy cream adding seasoning salt peppar Cayenne Red pepper flake onion powder
Stir until thicken
Maybe needed some chicken stock if too thick.
Top waffle with syrup put chicken on top then gravy
